Draw Me a Migrant Project
The Draw Me a Migrant project was conceived with the support of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation as part of the "Promotion of Citizenship and Interculturality" call for projects.

Since its inception in 2021, this project has pursued a clear objective: to provide every citizen with the necessary tools to deconstruct stereotypes about migration and migrants.
Draw Me a Migrant is:
4. Training sessions
Additionally, we offer specific training to support professional teams. These sessions are designed to explore in depth how our tools can be integrated effectively and relevantly into their daily work.
2. Traveling exhibitions
To ensure our approach extends beyond workshops, we have created three exhibitions. They are based on the drawings and reflections from our activities, inviting the public to question their own prejudices related to immigration.
- Exhibition 1.0: Created in 2021-2022, it is the result of drawings from our first animations.
- Exposition 2.0 (pocket version): More compact and easy to install, it incorporates the lessons from our initial experiences to meet occasional demands.
- Exposition 3.0: Designed to offer more autonomy and flexibility. This new version aims to overcome the installation and animation time constraints that limited our possibilities.
1. Animations
The project began with workshops where drawing was used as a starting point. Participants drew their own representation of a migrant, which allowed stereotypes to emerge. A collective debate was then organized to confront and deconstruct these preconceived ideas.
3. An educational tool
To go even further, we created a set of 36 cards from over a thousand collected drawings. This tool is inspired by the photolanguage principle: each drawing serves as a starting point for collective reflection. The goal is not to give a lesson, but to question and collectively deconstruct stereotypes about migration. Designed for teachers, social workers, or other professionals, this game comes with animation guides for optimal use.
