Little extras
In addition to essential topics related to citizenship, our training sessions are tailored to the needs and interests of the groups. This allows us to cover a variety of themes such as :
- awareness of cultural codes and managing culture shock.
- the functioning of elections and citizen participation .
- waste sorting practices
- holidays in Belgium and in the countries of origin.
- cultural activities, such as a visit to the historic center of Liège, the Royal Opera of Wallonia, or a game about Liège and Belgian culture.
- the discovery of family planning (in collaboration with Infor Femmes).
- different family configurations in Belgium .
Pedagogical Approach
Our trainers, all qualified by DISCRI, adopt an intercultural approach focused on four key steps:
- shift perspective
- understand the other person's system
- meditate and/or negotiate
- identify the "sensitive areas"
